There are thousands of songs to choose from for your wedding ceremony music. You can go traditional and play classical music, composed by some of the great composers of all time. You can also choose more modern wedding ceremony music, whether it is instrumental, or a song with someone singing along. Just remember, this is your wedding, so you get to choose whatever wedding ceremony music you want to hear.
The first rule of choosing wedding ceremony music is communication. Ask your fiancé what he or she wants to hear. You don't want to make the decision on your own, as this wedding is for both of you. If you cannot agree on music, then try to find a way to compromise and pick a few songs from each person's list. The best music is instrumental or classical, though you can use anything you want.
As the bride is walking down the isle, the most important part of the wedding ceremony music will be playing. You can go traditional and choose the song that is played at almost every wedding there is, or you can choose something yourself. For this, classical music of some kind is recommended, though it must be something light, airy, and easy to coordinate steps to (otherwise you will have people tripping all over each other!).
You can play wedding ceremony music before the actual ceremony begins in order to give everyone something to listen to. This may seem a bit like elevator music, but you can use whatever you want. If you have nothing but younger people at your wedding, choose newer music. Above all, choose the music you want to hear. You can look for likely music online, or just choose music from among your personal collection.
Picking your wedding ceremony music can be a tough issue. Try making a list of new and old songs that you think should be given consideration. After that, listen to them with your fiancé, and the two of you can decide which ones will be part of your wedding ceremony music.
